2018 - 2019 USC Transfer

@markspencer22 That’s good. You should send in a SGR if asked for one or maybe that in your appeal. What specific program in Thornton are you looking at?

I always hear a lot about improvement… but what about consistency?

Freshman year I got all A’s (and one A- each semester), and this year I’m on track for all A’s.

I have a question about appeals if anyone has any idea. Are we allowed to send in spring grades in the appeal or is it just a written appeal (like letter only/ no extra info)?

@HeyItsNick if you are rejected and didn’t get an SGR, yes you are allowed to send in spring grades with an appeal letter. Appeals are used for new information, so your spring grades would help you if you had an upward trend. You can also asking your counselor to send in the appeal and attached documents!

@aznboi4981 Trend can also include high-school. So if you had a 3.0 in high-school, but got a 4.0 in college, then it’s an upward trend. If you have a 4.0 all the way, then it’s obviously not a bad thing.

@aznboi4981 I’ve heard consistency is really bad. With those straight As, it looks like you might get rejected dude.

@NotLonelyIsland Please tell me you are joking lol.

@aznboi4981 Yeah dude. They want to see a linear trend in grades. A flat line won’t cut it

That makes no sense

im laughing so hard at the people that are getting trolled

its a joke you guys

Don’t really have time to fill out my stats. I had a 3.8 GPA. I applied for music composition so I don’t think GPA had much to do with it. I feel I had a very strong portfolio. I submitted over 80 pages of music. Had great recommendations from two professional composers. It’s a pretty competitive program. I read they only take about 6-8 people a year. It’s all good though. I found out by email. I called thursday to ask and then I got an email Friday night. Got rejected twice now haha. Suppose there’s always grad school.

I was wondering if I take a summer class and g-ds willing I get in will the credits for my summer class be transferred to USC as well?

If I get an SGR, and if they respond yes after a long while, as in that I have to re commit to GMU for my sophomore year, what should I do?

Does anyone know how long you have after you receive your admission decision to send in an appeal?

@StipendAwarded Stay enrolled at GMU until you get an official acceptance to USC, be it June or July. Then drop out of GMU. You don’t want to be left without options for sophomore year (there is always CC of course).

I honestly think you’re making this a lot harder on yourself. At this point you should be enjoying what’s left of your senior year, and doing your best to fall in love with GMU. Thinking about USC is only going to make the wait longer.

@instarae I’d say within a month, but the sooner the better. Ask your counselor first though

Genuine curiosities only.

This video makes me happy

@Ak1097 If the lady at 3:09 came knocking on my door, I’d run for the hills. Leave the package and balloons at the door please. Scary!
