2018 - 2019 USC Transfer

@berther Yeah no problem dude. I don’t like how it’s not available on USC’s website, but SMC has it smh /:slight_smile:

We already know that admissions are rolling up to June 1. Its the typical process for them to give us a set date. Of course they’re gonna say June 1, because otherwise even more people are gonna call and beg them for a decision.

I remain intrigued by the TTP. As an alum, I strongly support it, but I hope their isn’t a “division” socially by TTP and non-TTP transfers. I’m sure this is a stressful time for both types of applicants, and I wish each of you the best. FIGHT ON!

I’d call admissions a lot last year, and a lot of them would say that the decisions would come out on June 1st too. But they all came out on a rolling basis up until the very end of May when the rejections came out. Very few acceptances were on June 1st, and if they were, they were for the 2nd major. We just have to be patient, but I have a good feeling that many of the acceptances will be sent out this coming week.

I only called admissions when it was June 2nd and I still had no decision (acceptance, SGR, rejection). I asked them what happened with June 1st to notify all applicants and they said it wasn’t a hard deadline, lol :stuck_out_tongue: I do believe they always have to cover themselves though and try to be as generic as possible.

@sunnydramatic I was really shocked to have been accepted into my second choice major and for the spring at that! I only had like one sociology course completed. I was positive that I would get into my first choice major. It seriously made me question the whole major prep thing. Maybe my counselor was weird :stuck_out_tongue:

my English requirement is in progress I have 36 units with the ones I have in progress now @uclavsusc24

waiting until monday

.

Is there any speculation in how many transfer students are applying this year or is it usually a little over 8000 most years??

@dexterjettser I feel sorry man. I cannot believe that even though they are more accepting of transfers than first years, the statistics are still that low. I hope that Interactive Media is less competitive for transfers than Music Composition.

By the way, are students in grad school at USC allowed to participate in the same extracurriculars as the undergrads? I really want to get back into marching band, but I feel GMU is too complacent to start one.

Letter arrived requesting final transcripts. Currently a 4.0. First semester 3.4. Hoping the request for final transcripts is a good thing. Anyone else get the same letter?

@pctulip88 It was sent to you via portal/email I am assuming, right? Nothing here.

@pctulip88 what’s your major? And are you applying as a sophomore/junior? It’s definitely a good thing for you considering your grades have improved a lot!

@jobsoutofcollegeI don’t unfortunately, I looked through last years acceptance thread and I think there was one person on the thread who applied to price, but I don’t remember.

@pctulip88 hey, I got that like a month ago, but then my counselor removed it because she said she’ll wait until my spring semester is over. ( mines was online though, idk if that’s any different)

I have a question, I got my SGR I am supposed to send just the grades when they are ready or can I send other stuff like an additional essay, recommendation letter and so on?

@clan123 You can try, but at this point they probably aren’t going to read/do much with additional info, especially like something like an essay

@csumit Incorrect. My counselor informed me they read everything you submit (at any given time).

@aznboi4981 OK they’ll read it sure, but I doubt it will have much of an impact on admissioms decisions at this point

@aznboi4981 what if I submitted something just last week

I decided the other day I’ll be damned if they’re not going to even put my official SAT score reports in my file; they’re going to at least LOOK at the copies I upload through my portal.
