2018 - 2019 USC Transfer

@Malcontent Don’t they require you to submit test score when you apply anyway?

@csumit Not if you have more than 30 credit hours completed.

I have “additional info” under my received documents, any idea what that could be?

@csumit if you’ve been out of high school for more than five years or something then they don’t require it

@Malcontent Since I am transferring as a sophomore, I would send in my scores again. Heck, I might want to try again for higher scores.

@StipendAwarded Don’t retake standardized testing in college, that’s ridiculous. I know I’ve said similar before; but it sounds like you’re basing your entire life around transferring to USC which isn’t even a guarantee.

You need to get off this thread and go enjoy your life. Second semester senior year should be a time of relaxation and spending what time you have left with your high school friends. No school is worth this level of obsession. You can be successful no matter what college you go to.

Forgot about USC; apply when the time comes and make your decision should you be accepted, but for now embrace GMU and the amount of free time you have now (you very likely won’t have this amount of free time until retirement).

B-) Ready for another week of disappointment B-)

@csumit If I don’t get in for my bachelors, I’ll get in for masters. Just one last query: can a grad student take the same extracurriculars as an undergrad?

@Capital_Dan I’d be very surprised if some decisions don’t go out this week. I also expect some Viterbi decisions/SGRs to go out next week.

Crazy to think April’s already almost over. May really came quick. Feels like I was just starting this year.

@StipendAwarded In general, yeah. For example all the engineering clubs at my school has grad students (who arguably do more than the undergrads). Obviously it depends on the organization/school but theres no good reason why they wouldn’t unless its something like research opportunities for undergrads.

@csumit i think most Viterbi Applicants get something the 1st or second week of may tbh

@Kvadhan789 so possibly next week then

I was a month late to submit my high school transcript. Do you guys think this will delay my decision?

@Kvadhan789 I talked to a admission counselor at USC and he said they were behind on finishing their freshman applicants so decisions will most likely be may 30th or later. (I asked specifically Viterbi)

@StipendAwarded I did send mine in through both CollegeBoard and ACT services. When I called the admissions office to ask why it wasn’t in my “received documents,” the woman I spoke to said she wouldn’t/couldn’t add them because they’re not required

@whoeverknows Any ideas on when we can expect the first wave of decisions? (Marshall applicant)

@ssckmt Heck, my admissions counselor didn’t even notice my HS transcript was missing until May 1st, which obviously means he didn’t get around to my file until May 1st. Were you asked to send it in? If yes, then maybe there could be a slight delay. If not, then it’s likely that your admissions counselor hasn’t even gotten around to you yet.

@Ak1097 Thursday/Friday (maybe slightly earlier for some people depending on what the decision is, but definitely by the end of this week). We should see a lot of activity soon.

@zettasyntax Your post to Ak1097 made me so anxious. Cannot wait! So excited.

Question: I just got the TTP offer this year and am going to study in Paris through that program. Will I need to resubmit HS transcripts and stuff or will they keep that all on file? Thanks and good luck to you all!

@polololo no need to resubmit
