PSI is a logistics company - so it could be USC or a host of other companies that use them.
This is getting to my head so much, I heard the mail man pull up and I immediately went outside…is this going to be my life for the next month or so?
@abba717 I’m afraid so.
Just got accepted to Tulane with the highest scholarship for transfers. Praise the lord. Come on, USC, follow suit!
Mail came today, got nothing
What gpa would make you a competitive applicant for USC? I’m worried my stats would not get me in?
@MBlue98 gpa doesnt matter, grades in major-related classes matter
@MBlue98 the average is a 3.7. So I would say 3.6 or higher.
My mailbox was empty today, as well.
At least, I have Baylor in hand.
Not quite sure how a SO transfer to USC can get the English, Math, and most of the GE’s and lower division major classes out of the way. A JR transfer could probably. At my CC still had to take classes for the AA degree that won’t transfer like Speech.
@OmaNebr my councilor told me that they don’t care about GE progress, just the requirements like math and writ
@csumit what are their math and writing requirements?
@Elena1355 Depends on the major. I believe a Writing 150 equiv is required of all. I know Viterbi requires through Calc 2. Not sure about others.
I cannot agree with whoever said that gpa only matters for major related classes. Of course those are the most important classes, but you still won’t get accepted if you have C’s on everything else.
Yeah GPA is one of the most important aspects of our apps along with pre-reqs and GE completion. Especially since they don’t really care about ECs that much. Idk they might say that they don’t care about GEs, but from reading last year’s thread, transfers that have more GEs completed are more competitive.
I’m applying as a “super sophomore” (will have 50 units completed) transfer to Dornslife for political science. I’ve completed all GE’s, one of my two pre-reqs, and I have one currently in progress. I will also have completed my foreign language requirement. That being said, is it likely that they would issue a SGR on the basis of my one pre-req that is currently in progress?
So this might be a dumb question. I have a total of 62 credits. If one of those classes is not transferable (but it is a college level class), does it still count towards my credits? The class that I am referring to is a pre-calc class.
Posted twice for some reason. Ignore this one.
@Vincent1997 @NotLonelyIsland obviously because if you have C’s in everything else, it shows you cannot handle USC’s Courseload. what i was trying to say is: if you don’t take the GE’s or the proper math and writing classes. even if you have a 4.0, you are not going to get accepted
@OmaNebr My mistake. I guess the not requiring GEs only applies to viterbi.
