2018 - 2019 USC Transfer

@Halos117 At this point, I’d save it for the appeal if you get denied. I’ve emailed and haven’t gotten a response from my counselor so who knows if they’d even see it. May be handy to have something that could help you w/ an appeal.

@zettasyntax ah I see! Good that makes me feel a little better. I should have about 60 units completed as I will be applying to a lot of UC’s and CSU’s that require 60 units to transfer. Although USC is my top choice for sure.

@HeyItsNick I signed up for an extra AP Test (Physics 1), told my counselor, and she said she would get it in. Should I put in my appeal an inquiry about if they received it, or should I restate it?

Did SGRs show up on USPS

@fighton7777 An SGR would likely just be in a regular envelope. You’d see a letter with the USC logo if you’re using USPS Informed Delivery. When I got my SGR a few years back, I got a physical letter about 3 weeks after I received an email notification of my SGR, so the letter was reallllly slow in getting to me for some reason.

Unrelated to USC, but I sent in my parents’s signed tax returns/W2s to a school I was accepted to, and I emailed them on April 4th asking if they indeed received my faxed documents. They have yet to respond. Should I directly email the financial aid counselor assigned to my last name’s first letter? Or are these counselors solely for current students of the school?

Surprised we haven’t heard a peep from Viterbi yet

@quietquiet
Hi, i am wondering under what status you transferred to the USC?

Thanks in advance!

@jobsoutofcollege

I am sorry for your lost…

But, from what i can see, your circumstances really explain poor performance in your first semester. Also, internships relating to the major should complement your application.

I would say you do have chances of getting in, but this is just a point of view of another applicant. Just hope for the best turnout!

Best of luck to you and all the other transfers!

Sorry, no offense, but when will the 2019-2020 USC transfer thread open? (If I am correct, the year indicates the year you intend to actually be in USC as a transfer)

you can start one if you want to @StipendAwarded

@clan123 Thanks. Probably around this June maybe? Would that be okay? Would hep those who want to get into USC for the 2019-2020 year. Might also start an SCA thread for that year at the same time.

@aznboi4981 That was the day before yesterday. Schools are processing thousands of pieces of info right now. More emails just clogg it up more, give them time.

@CADREAMIN It’s a rather small school though. Patience is a virtue I guess.

Ahh I’m a ttp and I applied for SDA & I’m anxiously awaiting

there is anyone who is NOO TTP and has heard back yet???

@StipendAwarded that sounds good and like a reasonable time to me. A separate SCA thread would also be great! I know the application for SCA is different and it would be nice just to have a separate space for us to talk, put stats, etc.

Is anyone else nervous that we might have to commit to another school before we even know if USC accepted us?

I find it a little worriseome that there expected day to let us know is so late, I really hope they let us know earlier than late May

tbh losing a $200-600 deposit in favor of going to your dream-school is worth it. IMO.
