2018 - 2019 USC Transfer

I’m currently a junior at University of Michigan and school ends in two weeks… It would be nice to hear back from Thornton before then so that I can figure out whether to leave my stuff here or ship it back to LA (where I live)…

For people who haven’t gotten SGRs or your first round of decisions yet, when did you send in your apps and what majors were you applying to?

@durtysouth I haven’t heard much about Bruce, sorry :frowning: I also wasn’t aware that USC did that! I thought that was mainly a UC thing. I guess if they were conditionally admitted, then they would have to maintain a certain GPA, yeah. It makes most sense that sophomores that don’t get an SGR would receive such a letter. I wound up withdrawing from a course several weeks before I got my decision, but USC didn’t rescind me or anything over that. It was mainly just a course that I took so that I could have 18 units that semester.

@StipendAwarded You might have to ask your counselor on that one. I couldn’t find any good data on the articulation agreement between GMU and USC. In any case, the Japanese cinema course would basically have to be a direct equivalent of Japanese III at USC. For instance, you need to take Spanish III before you can enroll in the special subject classes like “Spanish for Business” or “Spanish for the Arts” here at USC. You would be much safer with taking a traditional Japanese III course.

Have any non-ttp Econ majors heard back yet? or dornsife in general

Does anyone know if USC waits to send decisions until the financial aid situation is completed? I still have some required documents for my financial aid that USC said would take at least a month before they get to it so I’m wondering if that’ll affect when I receive my admission decision

I am not a TTP, I was starting to worry because people are already getting SGR and I haven’t. Thank you!! :(( @zettasyntax

My friend did tell me she had a tough time with him @durtysouth

Going to ask again.

Do any of you NOT have the third subsection under the “Eligibility Checks” section called, “Program of Study,” which states, “Your Program of Study eligibility has been confirmed,” in your FAST (Financial Aid) portal?

I just wanna take a moment to thank @zettasyntax for sticking around and helping us cope during this agonizing time. Your input is so valuable to us and I really appreciate you being so active throughout the process

I second this! ^ @zettasyntax we’re all blessed to have you around to help us out.
