****2020 Notre Dame RD Applicant Discussion****

@XoXdreamerXoX congrats!

@XoXdreamerXoX anything could happen! My GPA is higher than yours and my SAT is a bit lower than yours. NHS president, Class VP, Key Club Secretary, play 3 years of Varsity tennis, acting, serve at the soup kitchen sometimes, tutor at an elementary school once a week. I’m not a stellar applicant and my scores are really low. My strength could be that I’m from a communism country and my parents are atheists but I’m Catholic. Does anyone know if there are more coming out? I’m not expecting one but I’m just curious about the stats.

@tina23 Thank you!

@Fiona1997 That’s true. Good luck!!

@XoXdreamerXoX I wish I could get in… It’s my top choice… thank you and I’m so happy for you!

@XoXdreamerXoX Do you think you’ll attend ND, or are you waiting on other schools?

@IvyHopeful98 I’m still waiting on other schools. Texas A&M is also pretty high on my list.

The spring visit could be a huge deciding factor for me.

@XoXdreamerXoX Ahh, gotcha. Have you visited campus yet, or will it be your first time?

@IvyHopeful98 This will be my first time.

@XoXdreamerXoX That’s exciting! Depending on what you like in campuses, you’ll probably love it. Hope you enjoy it!

@IvyHopeful98 Thanks!!

Daughter applied regular decision and hasn’t received a likely letter. Were they sent by mail or email? Any idea how many candidates receive likely letters? If she doesn’t receive a likely, is all hope lost? She attended ND Summer Scholars last summer and absolutely loves everything about ND. Any info is appreciated.

@wismom3 I know they were sent via email (if she has GMail, tell her to check in Promotions, because I didn’t notice mine at first because it was in there). I don’t know about the number of likely letters sent out, but I can assure you that all hope is NOT lost. LLs are only sent to a small percentage of admitted students, so you needn’t worry. I hope this helps. :slight_smile:

Are these ever sent to deferred EA students? Or only RD?

Everything you need to know about Spring Viz: http://admissions.nd.edu/spring-visit-weekend/faqs/

I was just invited to the Reilly Visitation Weekend from April 9-12. I looked it up and found that about 80 applicants are invited. Is the invitation tantamount to a likely letter?

@aBitOfLuck, yes, and then some. Congratulations!

Congratulations, @aBitOfLuck

@aBitOfLuck Congratulations! I just got my invitation too (through snail mail)! Hopefully I’ll see you in April! :slight_smile:

@suzy100 @Sophmore1 Thanks!
@Peggy1897 Congrats and I hope to see you, too!

@aBitOfLuck @Peggy1897 Congratulations! Hope you guys enjoy it up there.
