2050 sat i?

Hey,

I'm kind of new here.

In Janurary, I did the SAT I and got 1690. I'm an international student and I was planning to go to the UK until last december but suddenly found a few colleges in the US I wanted to attempt. So I signed up for the SAT but I literally didn't study at all. I didn't even know what the test was about until maybe 20min before the exam when I got to see my friends.

I got:

680 math
490 reading
520 writing

I think I can improve my math score quite a bit - it was all careless mistakes (I've got 800 on the math II), but ofcourse, the curve is much less harsh on the math II so yeah.

I am retaking it in June, but I don't know if I can self-study and jump 360 points. An improvement of 120 in every section would get me there and I would be extremely happy if I could get that.

Yes there are many tips on collegeconfidential here and I am planning to follow the various tips I found here, do you think 2050 is a relatively realistic aim? if i study 2hours for the SAT everyday from now

My vocabulary is crap though.

bump

also, anyone know how accurate the conversion tables on the princeton review cracking the SAT are? I just got 2020 on it, but I think thats too high for 2 days of study…

if I use the conversion tables which I got from my jan sats, its 1890.

was the jan test easy –> bad curve? or is it that princeton review is too inaccurate?

Yes, trust me you’ll do fine with some preparation. First time I took it, I was in the same situation as yourself, and I got around 1450…

Now I’m averaging 2000 - 2100 on practice tests:
but I just took the May SAT, and it was kinda hard.

With just a little prep, you’ll be fine.
