i Just got my scores an hour ago and i was hoping i would get an 2200+ but unfortunately i got an 2160 SUPERSCORE :S.. I think its not a bad score for any of the middle colleges, but i was aiming for MIT and so on. Do you think it would be possible? and do you think i could get any sort of scholarships such as a 25% off or something? 40,000 $ a year isnt very easy to get you know xD

Can’t tell you about scholarships, but anything below 2200 makes it very difficult to get into the Ivies + MIT, Caltech, Stanford, etc.

^That s not necessarily true ^

Take Stanford, the 25th percentile is only 2040.

Your safely in the middle range, so work on the other parts!

^^Did you just take the 25% for all 3 scores and add them? It doesn’t work that way, bro. If you have one at the 25th percentile, you best not have the other 2 scores at the 25th percentile or you won’t get in. I’d assume the 25th percentile is closer to a 2160.

Stanford:: (25%ile-75%ile) (section scores change +/-10 from year to year)
Total: 2000-2310
Critical Reading: 660-760
Math: 680-790
Writing: 660-760

Alyshehata, you still have a (good) chance if you can show that you are passionate about your extracurriculars and if your recs are good. I have a friend, no legacy, asian who got into harvard with a 2160. However, he very strong recommendation letters and was very involved in one of his ECs.

Good luck! :)

Last night I was shown my abysmal scores in Reading… I got a 2220, Breakdown was CR: 690, Math: 730, and Writing: 800. Do I retake or just let it be?
