2280 -> 2110? Retake once more?

Hi guys. I've taken two SATs, with wildly varying scores for both. I'd to hear your thoughts as to whether or not I should take it again.

SAT A (Nov/11):
790 CR
690 M
800 W w/ 10 essay

2280

SAT B (Mar/12):
670 CR
700 M
740 W w/ 8 essay

2110

Oh, and if it's relevant, I didn't prep either time. I've only taken 1 practice test out of the BB.

I really need some opinions as to whether I should retake it in June. I am already registered for May to take 3 SAT IIs, which are USH, Chem, and Lit. Supposedly I was going to register for the June Latin/Math II SAT IIs, but I'm not so sure...

Thoughts? SAT I retake for the third time, toss out my scores from March and take my SAT IIs, or no tests in June?

I took the March as well and im gonna retake to superscore for a 2300. The CR was deffinately a biat-ch/(insert whatever word you want).

But I think you used do some intesive prep and retake once more to get those nice balacced scores like a 770,780,770 which is better than 790,690,800 in the overall picture. The fact that half the top colleges superscore is beneficial. Well that is if your looking at schools that use score choice.

Also, when I viewed my scores, I went from a 630 writing to a 800(80 mc 10 E) in one month. Such a huge jump just showed me that this test like any test is flawed and its just a matter of approaching the test right. Your drastic drop in CR also proves that.

So I should bone up on M and retake it once more, correct? When? Do you think a higher Math II score would make up for a 690? And should I take it in June or push the retake to the fall?

IMO

Taking it in june is a great idea. Its not too far and not too close. I realized that taking it with about 2 months is short enough to let you remember the feel of the test but also long enough for you to prepare, especially for an easy section like math.

Retake since you can get a 2390 superscore but put in the effort.

Math 2 is also good but SAT IMO is more important since it is what gets you to the table.

Okay, thanks. I guess I’ll push Math II to October next year and register for the June SAT I. It’s also better for me since I’ll already be out of school by the time the SAT rolls around.
