2nd Semester of Senior Year of High School

Ok so I am not proud of my Freshman Year and Sophomore Year because I had a low unweighted gpa somewhere around 2.5-2.7 and Junior year I did very well I brought my unweighted GPA to a 3.1125 so I took 5 extra classes my junior year summer to boost my unweighted gpa which went up to a 3.29 but I noticed this was very low for admissions, right now I am taking 6 classes (5 are year long and 1 is semester long) (trust me 2nd semester will be all A’s because I’m acing all my classes) for semester 1 of senior year which is making one B (Pre Cal) and 5 A’s and that won’t change so i calculated that i’ll have a gpa of 3.39516129 and second semester will be a 3.4140 but my question is that most colleges applications are due around this month (1st Semester) so will they only see my 3.3 first semester gpa and not my second semester gpa which will be a 3.4 because if thats the case should I wait next year to apply (Post Graduation) for them to see my 3.4 or should i apply now and keep my 3.3 and not get into many colleges?

I’m assuming that those are your cumulative GPAs. What is your junior GPA and your first semester senior GPA all by themselves?

Yes, they will only see first semester GPA. But, I doubt schools will round a 3.395 down to a 3.3 - they will either look at the raw number or probably round that up.

A 3.3 and a 3.4 will not be a huge difference in admissions. But, if you are a senior, you have missed a good majority of college application deadlines. Have you taken the SAT/ACT? You will also need that and scores can help aid GPA. If you plan on applying for college in the Fall, time is running out very quickly - by February 1st almost all deadlines will be past besides rolling admission schools and a select few others.
