I have been trying to find a post on this that is fairly recent, but no cigar. How important are 2nd semester senior year grades? I’ve been about an A-ish student all throughout high school, including throughout 1st semester of senior year and now I’m curious if a hypothetical C or like 2 Bs will cause highly selective colleges to rescind their offers of admission. There will be no change in my course rigor.
One of my DS’s acceptance letters details that they want the final transcript showing the graduation. I will tell him what I told him --" Don’t mess up. It will cost the family thousands. You will have plenty of time to chill come summer." Push for just a few more months. I would hate to accept getting a C and accidentally end up with a D and get rescinded.
I’d try keep your grades in the B range although I highly doubt one C will get you rescinded.
A “C” might not get you rescinded, but it may get a note from the college. Usually they make you explain if you have any large deviations from your typical grades. I doubt a few B’s would get their attention though.
