3.3 GPA 1990 SAT

I'm in 11th grade, and I am really worried about college admission. I know my GPA is a little on the low side, but that is because I got a 3.2 GPA my freshman and sophomore year. The first semester wa not good for me because there was a lot going on and got a 3.0. The second semester so far I have a 3.7 GPA. I still have time to bring up my grades! My first choice is to go to any UC. But if not, maybe a CSU? I want to major in Communications or Psychology. I'm not sure yet.

My EC's consist of:
9th Grade: Swim Team (Varsity), Worked as a Lifeguard in the summer, Club Swim Team and competition during the summer and off season, Worked at the Library all summer.
10th grade: Swim Team (JV because I moved and my new school is more competitve), Worked as a Lifeguard in the summer, Club Swim Team and competition during the summer and off season, Did the School Play and Musical, and Poined the Universal Performer club.
11th: Swim Team (JV because I moved and my new school is more competitve), School play, and planning on working as a lifeguard again this year, and working at the library as a tutor for community service.

I have accepted that I cannot go to UC Berkely. What are my chances of getting into UC Irvine, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz, UC San Diego, University of San Francisco, Santa Clara University, San Jose State, Cal Poly Obispo, and San Diego State University?

Thank you so much!

UCSD: Reach
UCI: Reach
UCD: Reach
UCSB: Low reach
U San Francisco: Low match
Santa Clara: Match
UCSC: Match
SJSU: Safety
Cal Poly SLO: Reach
SDSU: Match

What’s your UC GPA?

You need to calculate your UC GPA see attached link:<a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;
For UC’s GPA is more of a factor than SAT, but if you are below 4.0, you will need a higher SAT to make up the difference. The average GPA for all UC’s on your list were 4.0+ with the exception of UCSC. Check the common data set for each campus to see how you compare.

UCSD/Cal Poly SLO: Reach
UCD/UCI/UCSB: Low Reach
U San Francisco: Low Match
Santa Clara/UCSC/SDSU: High Match
SJSU: Match
Good Luck and look into more Cal States such as CSUF, CPP, CSUMB etc… as safeties

My UC GPA is a 3.50

I don’t know much about the private schools, I’m afraid, but:
SJSU: Safety
UCSC: High Match.
SDSU: High Match.
Cal Poly: Low Reach (assuming the major isn’t impacted).
UCI: Reach.
UCSB: Reach.
UCD: Reach.
UCSD: Reach.

I recommend adding some easy schools to your list. There’s nothing wrong with aiming for a reach school, but you need to have a backup plan.

SJSU: Match/Safety (depending on major)
UCSC: High match
SDSU: High Match/Low reach (depending on major)
UCSB: Reach
UCI:Reach
UCSD: High Reach
UCD: Reach

Cal Poly: Reach

All majors are impacted at Cal Poly SLO, for overall university admission:

Avg GPA: 3.97
Avg ACT: 29
Avg SAT: 1318 (out of 1600)

If you are going for engineering, the standards are solidly higher.
