Whoah, Beastmaster, I didn't think you could omit any if you wanted an 800. Guess I was wrong :|

i too got 2 wrong with 1 omit and got a 720 (-3 on raw). OP got 3 wrong with one omit (-5 raw) and got same score. sounds right to me ::)

i got one wrong on math and got 780. seems harsh but colleges probably look at everyone above 750ish the same, reasoning that maybe the student made a small error or something. i took the sat's again today and im hoping for 800 math even though i know i got one student produced response wrong. regardless this math was a lot harder than the last time and i bet the curve will reflect that. hopefully at least...what do u guys think?

My mistake with the -4, but actually his score probally was -4. If one of those wrong answers was a grid in, he would in fact have a -4 which would correspond better to a 720. You don't lose a 1/4 of a point for a wrong grid in.

I didn't order the detailed report thing but I was absolutely certain that I skipped the last student produced question.(I tried to go back and fill in the answer, but I sat in front of the proctor) I assumed that I didn't miss any questions based on the previous posts.

For me, one wrong on grid in, 2 wrong on MC. 740.

nice job on the 800!
even though you didn't need to omit on the grid-in...I believe there's no penalization (not that it mattered :) )

If i get on grid-in question wrong, I still have a chance to get 800?

No more of chance then you would have getting an mc question wrong. But yes, the most generous curve allows 1 wrong for an 800.

How much is 4 MC and 2 Grid-In Wrong going to be? :( Damn careless mistakes....2 of those MC were from easy questions (# line..i put ONE, not TWO ****) and (The Venn Diagram...I picked 1 and 7, because 4 and 5 - the 5 included Calculus) grrrr....Please be a 700 :X

1 wrong. 0 omit. 790.

so what would my score be? In March I got 8 wrong, 6 omitted for a 620...October I got 11 wrong 4 omitted for a 600...what will 4 MC, 2 grid-in wrong be for November?

stonecold- i hope this answers your questions
i got 1 wrong 0 omit and got a 790
some other kid i know who took the same test (march 2005) got 2 wrong 0 omit and got a 760

1 wrong, 1 omit = 750 for me. i find that slightly harsh. this was last year tho, either march or may.

1 wrong in june got me a 770. the curve is really harsh

Sorry, I was wrong. I got 0 wrong, 0 omit 800. The one I omitted was experimental and obviously wasn't one of the grid in.

what the heck, i got 3 wrong and got a 720 while somebody did 3 wrong, 1 omit and got a 720 also. Did the one you omit come from the student respones ?'s?

I got 2 wrong, 0 omit for a 760....
