3 years at community college until I transfer? need advice

Hi everyone,
I am about to finish my sophomore year at CC in Southern California. I think I will be staying here for another year because I don’t have enough units to transfer. My freshmen year of college was a hard time in my life and I was not motivated to transfer. I am feeling a little discouraged because I can’t help but compare myself to my friends who will be graduating class of '22 while I will be class of '23. I wanted to see if anyone on here has transferred after 3+ years at cc? How was your experience? I plan to transfer a few hours away to either a UC or CSU so that means I would move and board there. I still want to have the “college experience” and get a roommate and join a sorority but I’m afraid it will be different if I transfer after 3 years at cc. I know this probably sounds stupid but my anxieties are getting to me tonight! If anyone has any advice, or would like to share their experience, that would be greatly appreciated!

One year will not make any significant difference. There are many students, actually a majority in the US, who take more than four years from when they graduate high school until they get their bachelor’s degree. I do not think that you should worry about it.
