I have a 3.9 weighted GPA with 5 AP classes, academic honors diploma (indiana) and a 30 ACT score. I've taken the hardest courses my school offers (only 6 AP's offered) and have solid extracurriculars. Can somebody give me an idea of my best reach school? I know that I'm out for ND, Vandy, etc. Is a state school my best bet? Any input is appreciated :)

Good stats!

Is money no object?

What will your major be?

Do you like Purdue or Indiana U?

I want to study marketing and foreign languages. I’ve been directly admitted to IU’s Kelley School of Business with a 9k a year scholarship. I’ll probably end up going there, and money is somewhat of an issue. I was just wondering what my reach schools should be?

If money is an issue, and your family income is too high to get any “real” aid (non loans), then an IN school is probably your best bet.

OOS publics often don’t meet need.

the problem is that your stats are good, but not high enough that some might give you high merit at “reach” schools (especially since most reach schools don’t give merit)

If you’re looking for some opportunities to go OOS, then you need to consider some match/safety schools for merit money.

I don’t know why you’re talking yourself our of schools like ND or Vandy. They might be reaches but they’re reachable if you have a reason for them to like you.

Since you’ve already been accepted at Kelley then you’re all set. It’s a very good business school.
