300 Calc or AP Stat?

I barely missed the cut for AP Calc next year, so I am confronted with the question: Should I take 300 (Regular) Calculus or AP Statistics? I ask because I know some colleges would like to see some calc before college (I am taking pre-calc this year). However, stat is an AP course and I plan on majoring in computer science. Any advice on which course I should take next year?

Thank you.

Take 300 Calc as your math course and AP Stat as an elective if possible.

Yes, try to take both if possible. If not, take Calc. AP Stats is kind of one the easiest AP’s out there.

I’m assuming you’re trying to go to georgia tech since this is in the gt forum?
I took AP Stats, got a 5, and received no college credit at Georgia Tech for it.
Look at the websites for the schools you are most interested in and see if they accept credit for AP stats. It can’t hurt because seeing that you took another AP class will help you on your application, but the calc would be a lot more helpful. If you can’t get into AP calc, take regular calc.
