hey,anyone of u taking the SAT on that day??
god,i am stressed out with the preparation!!!i just keep doing the blue collegeboard book for practice...what are u guys doing??any advice on what i shall do now???help!!!

I finished all of Blue Book--I'm switching to Kaplan's 2400.

to murasaki:hey,you finished the blue book right??do you feel that you have improved on your scores by doing that??and have you done all the essays and how did you manage to evalute it?by yourself?oh one more qn,how you feel about the kaplan one?
p.s.:can you clear your private message box?it is full!!!

I am only half through the blue book.
Is the scores in the book any indication of the real scores?
Whats the easiest way to increase about 100 pts? Is it even possible?

I've cleared it now. :)

I improved my scores (204 PSAT, 2090 1st Blue Book Practice, 2240 last Blue Book Practice, 2200 April SAT)

I've only done a few essays, but generally I use the SAT writing techniques and compare mine to essays that got certain scores, etc. Kaplan is pretty good, but I'm only using their 2400 version and the writing workbook.

All I can advise to you is try to be relaxed during the test, you'll perform much better. Trust me.

I used the red book (old sat) first, adjusting the timing for cr and math sections, like months and months ago. And i think I've gone through 3/4 of Princeton review 11 practice tests (when I prepped for may 2005 sat). I also have kaplan's practice tests book but dont think i'll be using it.

I started my blue book 2 weeks ago and I'm also using an old Kaplan's SAT2 WRITING book (i bought it like 2 years ago for prep but never used it) for essays and some minor stuff like umm idioms. But my major aiding is from ap eng lang prepping (selfstudied, so i studied extra hard lol). cr and writing sections seem to be fairly easy now..?

bluebook test 1 = 2190, pr average = ~1800, aim = 750m (i KNOW i'm going to make careless mistakes), 770cr, 780 w = 2300
so I have to improve by 110 pts!

"aim = 750m (i KNOW i'm going to make careless mistakes), 770cr, 780 w = 2300"

Ahh, I think that's my dream score. haha... only switch the math and CR.

You guys are ambitious and intelligent, you did more practice than me. :D

I'll be taking it June 3. Having started studying yet, I'm taking a break after AP and SAT II. I have the gigantic College Board and will be reading through that, we'll see how this goes...

My dream score: 2370 (800W/790M/780CR)

But not happening. I just want a 2250...

April=1940
June Aim=2250 (670CR/790M/790W)

i took the Jan SAT1,sadly,badly done,2040...i heard that your first SAT score is very important cos the uni will pay special attention to your first SAT score,which means i am not in a very good situation right???oh dear,so hopeless....what do you guys think?

CR: 770 (I want to keep this score, but I'm not practicing vocab cause I'm sick of it so I think it might go down from April, but oh well :P)

M: (I want to get a 770 at least, I know I'm bound to screw something up, but 800 would be cool too)

W: 760 at least, I know that I could have done much better if my essay was better, so that's basically what I should work on.

Dream score, from 2200----->2300+

why would an adcom be more concerned with your first test? that doesnt make sense...theyll see your best

^This is correct.

I'm taking it again. Got a 2050 (670 M, 660 CR, 720 W) my first time. That's the highest I've ever scored (practices, etc.) and don't know if I could get it higher except for the writing which I feel as though I could get high 700s/800 on if I don't make stupid mistakes. Too bad colleges don't weigh the writing that much because that's really my strong point.

Anyway, I'd like 100 points, taking me to a 2150. (obviously higher would be better, but I'm trying to be realistic here!) ;)

drools over Murasaki's CR score lmao

Haha, there are a lot of people with 800s on this site in CR. Makes me feel inadequate.

Mine should make you feel better. Hahaha :(

660 CR is a pretty high percentile--you should be able to raise it with just practice.
