I'm wondering if colleges see your 3rd quarter grades senior year (before making the admissions decision). I know that they can see second semester grades and rescind you if they are bad, but can they affect your initial admissions decision?

I’m pretty sure most, if not all, colleges don’t. Most students get senioritis during the 2nd semester of high school because colleges won’t be seeing their grades. If you get accepted to the college that you want to go to, just make sure that you maintain all As and Bs. Some colleges rescind their acceptance if the student gets too many Cs or Ds/Fs.

If you are deferred or wait listed the 3Q grades can come into play.
