I talked to my adviser today about trying to do APAM/Econ in four years and was told that she had never heard of anyone doing it, nor had the director of the program.

I was under the impression that all you had to do was complete both SEAS/CC Cores and major requirements for each to get the BA/BS - is this wrong? It seems to me that the only way to get my double major now is to transfer to CC, which I don't particularly want to do (FoS!).

Currently, I'm a first year and I doubt my grades would let me transfer even if I tried. So, is there anything I can do? I might just do all the econ major requirements (only ~32 points in econ) anyways without the official title if I have no other options. Thanks!

One of the smartest guys I know quit my a cappella group to finish his MechE major, and is doing a 4-1 to get a BA in Arabic studies or something to do with the middle east. It practically killed him just to get the MechE degree.

Setting your sights high is good, and typical for CU students, but operationally you're in deep trouble if you try to pull a stunt like that.

Denzera: Is it possible to do a 4-1 program in 4 years with the same major for both the BA and BS? That is, the only "addition" to the course-load would be the core requirements for CC.

lol, i'm friends with him, he really works his ass off for that 4-1 (doing it in 5), he did a poly sci minor with his mech E degree though.

confidentialcoll - tell him to call his fellow ex-Bass back once in a blue moon. Tell him Madeleine and I hang out, he returns her calls, why not mine. :)
