Okay, someone help me out here.

There was a question on the English section that had two adjectives with "but" preceding the second one. Was there a comma between them?

I can't remembed if the rule about the two being intechangable applies if there is a conjuction thrown in.

Maybe someone else remembers this one?

yes!!!!!!

I remember that one. There is no comma before the but.

I narrowed it down to simply but or simply - but.

I chose simply but...

That was in the kayak story right?

That's what I thought. What do you mean by "simply - but"? Was that a choice? I put "but." If there's no comma, i'm pretty sure that is the answer.

2 questions...

English

on the kayak section there was a question about what word fits best

people/paddlers/nature watchers paddle something something somthing... which one was it

another went like " in 40 yrs/ 40 yrs- can you believe/ 40yrs, amazing!/ ... which one.

aslo for the u, T 9(t-u) ... was that B or C.

yet another one was about to lines intersect, one has a M= 2 , what is the slope of the other. for the question w/ bisecting angles and a triangle how can you prove it was 60. I know the sum of the bottom angles where 120 but
you dont know that they are equal. unless it said that the top and bottom line were //.

Yeah that was a choice..I think it went:

NO CHANGE
Simply, but
simply but
simply - but

What about the whole --can you believe it?-- question? What is the consensus on that one?

I put nature watchers...paddlers paddle seemed too repetitive and people was too general.

and I put in 40 yrs.

Kian, I put nature watchers because it said the answer should be supported by the other part of the sentence

Oh I guess my logic is wrong, but the answer is right :)

From a grammar website:

Use a dash to announce a list, restatement or an amplification.

"He had worked hard—did his coach realize how hard?—to improve his free throw shooting."

I think "can you believe it" was correct as it was.

Spartan, I didn't catch that part until I read the question the second time. That made me sure it was "nature watchers"

Kian, the answer to the T, U question was "B" on my test, IIRC.

As far as the math goes, I put -2 for the slope one, and I put not enough information for the second. However, I think I missed the second.

Oh I didn't use can you believe it because I thought it was too wordy..but i don't know.

Yeah, dashes are weird. I didn't expect a question like that.

Spartan, did it seem harder to you too? I've taken it 3 times, and this was certainly the hardest, especially the math.
