4/14 ACT Thread

I put 15 min - 2 hrs......I agree yanksman...

btw Mussina/Pavano are on the DL

Yeah they blow, Mo let up a 3 run walkoff today. So weak.

Anyway, I hated this test with a passion. It was so difficult and it's not fair.

the answer was clearly 15 min-2 hr and there is no discrepancy. I mean it said it right there on the test. the test is fairly simple if u just read the graphs and info correctly

i can just as easily say that it was clearly over 2 hrs

For the reading question from the acupuncture passage there was one question about chemical signals that was concluded in a previous post that it "Travels up the spinal cord and releases chemicals". However, didn't the passage actually say it blocked chemicals from being released?

the answer to that one was the one with pituitary gland included

I really didn't think it was that bad....def. easier than the november SAT

I'm expecting 35/36 on all the sections except the essay unless I screwed something up majorly....I was able to check most of my answers, after all

are you supposed to have facts on the essay? because mine are all personal examples and used first person like none other.

yea, I really don't think ACT cares if you have actual examples

for that essay, what examples could you possibly use except personal/hypothetical ones???

G'day i aslo put kept

so what about the triangle w/ bisects and the problem with the slope(m=2) .... i put can be identified for both

Go to the compilation thread!

English- Alright, felt kind of subjective though.
Math- I felt myself rushing a little, but I think I did alright.
Reading- Rushed a lot, didn't finish every question, had to fill in 2 answers blindly.
Science- I think it was pretty easy, but I know I didn't do perfectly. A little rushed.

I'm thinking 31-34.

Kian - I agree. I don't understand how some peopel thought it was a 60-60-60 triangle when all it said was that the two lines "bissected" the other parallel line...I put not enough info.

tennisgal... not enough info is almost never an answer. I don't recall that question, but I am sure there wasn't a problem that couldn't be solved.

Hey well I suck at math...though I still don't see how it could've been 60! I wish someone could explain it to me who remembers it; that problem has been eating away at me.

i don't exactly remember the question, but basically i just remember for that it was like angle a= angle b and angle b=angle c, therefore they're all equal and since it was a straight line, it added to 180 degrees so 180/3 = 60

Really? I don't even remember that. I must be retarded, haha

the problem is that i dont remember seeing parrallel

gkirsh: Yeah, that's why I put it.

for the one with sergio and the paint, did you guys say 2 gallons?
