$4-15k UCLA Alumni Scholarship

i'm an alumni scholar from last year...
because they asked you to apply doesn't guarantee that you're in.

i know it's another application and many of you really don't feel like doing that this late in your senior year, but trust me, it's worth it if you get the money! you become a member of the alumni scholar's club, which means that you get access to the UCLA alumni network as an undergrad (you can get an alumni mentor in your field of interest even in your freshman year). think of how many opportunities are there...most alumni are more than willing to help out UCLA students and even more so if you're a part of ASC.

you also get free printing/copying and assistance with parking your freshman year. some of the kids who get the upper scholarships also got assistance in getting a double, like the regents scholars.

if you advance to the last round of the interviews, you are actually invited to spend a weekend at UCLA for an event called state finals where members of the club will show you around and let you know the "inside scoop" about UCLA. you stay overnight in the dorms and then participate in a final competition to get scholarships from $6000-$15000.

it's a great community and we do a lot of fun events together. plus, it's another $4000-$15000 that YOU don't have to pay to attend UCLA! why would you not apply?!?

message me if you have any questions and i'd be happy to answer. :)

hey does anyone know when they contact people to tell them they got in? the regents scholarship notification came out a couple weeks ago but i havent heard anything about this one...
thanks!

^ last week, I received an email for a district interview. I interviewed a couple days ago and was notified today by my district coordinator that I won a $4000 scholarship :)
I'm sure your district is also working on contacting people and getting interviews organized, so you should be getting news soon.

omg that made me feel much better
