4 HLs in IB? Should I or should I not?

Well the title says it all. Should I take 4 HLs in IB? Here is what I’m planning to do:

Mathematics HL
Physics HL
Computer Science HL
Economics HL
English SL
French SL

Now I know that’s A LOT. Lot of course load. I told my sister (who is a senior taking IB) that I wanted a “challenge” and she said IB is already a challenge.

Mathematics and Physics are my two guaranteed HLs.

I plan to do CS in university. I run an in-school club teaching people CS. So I thought of taking CS as SL. I talked to the HL teacher (who is the supervisor of the club), and he said that SL would be too easy for me, since I already know a lot in CS. He told me to definitely take HL, especially since I want to go down the CS path.

I then talked to an Economics teacher, and some students taking both HL and SL, and I learned that the only difference is that there is less mathematics implications in HL than in SL. So that seems a viable option, and I kind of seem interested in it too (read the textbook).

Now I think I should take 4 HLs. My school is very “cool” about people dropping HLs and switching subjects. I could even drop, say CS, at the end of junior year to SL (since I’d have more than sufficient knowledge for that).

So, this might not be the right question but, should I or should I not do 4 HLs?

Thanks in advance!
