I applied November 1, they told me it went official on the 4th, but my application said I'd be given a decision with 4 weeks. It's now been 5+ and although they've assured before next Friday, what would cause the hold up? Is this the same for other people?

most of the ppl i kno received a reply in less than 4weeks :/ i have no idea what the hold up could have been sorry...

I would have actually expected to get rejected pretty early, so maybe this is a good sign haha

or not

Last year you could call the admissions phone # and put in your ss# and the system would tell you whether or not your application had been received. Also, you could just call or email the admissions office and ask why it was taking so long. They're really very nice.

I got mine last week...got in with a $22000 scholarship so don't fret about the time it's taking, maybe they are just debating what scholarship to give you :)

congrats nathan... I highly doubt they'll be giving me anymoney. I expected a quick rejection, it was just a free application so I applied. Nonetheless, I would like to find out soon.

thatmom, there's an online status check. they do have my application, they told me it was complete as of 11/4 and I'd be sure to receive a decision by 12/15, which is obviously more than four weeks. I just don't understand why that happened.

maybe an usually high influx of applicants around this time? also it could be you're right on the accept/reject border so they want to wait to get a better sense of the applicant pool?

finally got a deferral letter today

took em an awfully long time to come to that conclusion haha
