4+ years in CC plus gap year before transferring...

I am currently in my first semester of 4th year in CC... My first year I mainly took classes that were not transferable and had nothing to do with my major now (comp. sci.) At this point I did not know what my major was. I went on the next year not taking many classes and was part time for the most part and was working full time.. It was until last year that I was confident about majoring in computer science and started taking computer science classes.. At this point I can finish off all classes on the assist agreement for uci by next semester. But what I wanna do is before I transfer I want to take a gap year to work and save a little bit of more money while studying and expanding my knowledge more about computer science and programming and possibly do some interning/computer science clubs... What my main concern is that I have been off and on with college and my transcript will show that I have been taking classes for 4+ years before finally applying for transfer.. Will this look bad at all during the application process showing that I have been on CC for this long? I plan on applying to UCs and am confident that my GPA will be a 3.5+.
