45-60 on ACT math

For the first 45 or so questions, I only get about one or two wrong. Problem is, for the last 15 problems on the math section, I get about 8-10 questions wrong, nearly every single question from 50-60. The last 10-15 questions or so seem pretty complex, things I haven't really seen before. I am shooting for a 31 on the math, I'm stuck in the 27-28 land. Any tips on how to master these final problems to boost my score? Maybe any tips on guessing, lol?

Do you have issues with the problems conceptually? …or do you need more time to think about them? Completing the first fifty a bit faster will give you more time. The first fifty are easier, and you can do them faster and faster with practice.

I have issues with them conceptually. I usually know how to do one or two in the last ten, but I am lost on almost all of them.

I had the same thing but one thing I should say is after doing a practice test, look at how what you did wrong and the right answers. I took a practice test online and there were a few crazy tough problems that I didn’t bother to look over. On the real act there were 3 problems just like those but different numbers. Obviously those were the problems I didn’t look over. But just keep doing practice tests or if you want just so 45-60 on every test since those are always the hardest. good luck!!

@Ch1746 I’ve been recording youtube explanations for the online practice exam that the ACT website posted. I try to explain things on a conceptual level (instead of a “here’s the formula level”). Maybe they will be helpful for you.

Thank you, bump

BUMP

practice practice practice practice concepts. Maybe trying the same thing over and over again (act math tests) will not be as useful as reviewing/practicing specific concepts individually.

It has more to do with overall math understanding than anything else.
