My overall score was a 2130 (800 CR, 620 Math, 790 Writing). I've taken it three times; once in sophomore year is a dual credit requirement, once in January, and then once in March. My March score was actually about 100 points lower because I was really distracted that day, so I'm hesitant to take it again. If I do, when is the best time? I still need to take subject tests too... Ahhh so much stress

LOL, *2210. Sorry, I was quoting a different score. See, I can’t even add correctly. xD

What is your best composite score and what is your superscore?

I got almost the same score my first time- I just got an 800 in writing making it a total of 2220. It’s apparently not your first time taking the SAT- if you think that studying more will help you based on past experiences, then it can’t hurt. If you feel like you’re plateauing, then it may not be worth your time and money, but that’s a decision for you to make.
(I retook and did 30 points better the second time… )

Well I’ve never actually properly studied for the SAT, so maybe if I take it again? D: But I dunno, how bad is the 620? My best composite is a 2210 and it’s also my superscore. I’ve literally gotten a 620 on math all three times that I’ve taken the SAT lol. Not even joking.

Sit and complete math practice tests from the Blue Book. There aren’t that many concepts covered so if you complete all the math practice test sections, your score should improve. If that still does not help, try Gruber’s.

Since you still need to take subject tests and May/June are the best months for those, I would put off the SAT 1 until Oct, but study math this summer. The score discrepancy is too wide to ignore, unless you plan to apply to schools where the avg math SAT is 620.

Okay, yeah, you’re right… Ahh I just need to bring it up like 100 points @.@

Remember that a lot of schools ignore the writing score, leaving you with a very unbalanced 800-620. Study “properly” and take it again.

Okay, I will. If I take it in October, will the scores be available in time for ED deadlines?
