690 Cr Good Or Need 700+ For Top 15 Schools?

is a 690 good? I think it is close enough (1 question) to a 700 but do colleges consider it a 700 or would they consider it in the range of a 600?

my CR+M is 1490 but thats only b/c i got an 800 in M making it look more impressive than it actually is...

my top choice is dartmouth but im also applying to cornell jhu georgetown and schools on that top 15-20 level. most people get above 700 at these schools. whats you imput on retaking. opinions please no spamming.

composite 2220
800M 690CR 730W

you're fine. honestly i don't see much difference between a 690 and 700. plus, your 800 math is very impressive. all your scores are within range for your schools so i wouldn't worry about it. good luck

HAHA I have a 2230 (800M/690CR/740W) and another guy that posted on my thread had a 2240 (800M/690CR/750W). How funny!

I would say overall score matters more than individual score.

Hey. That other guy Castel was referring to is me.
Yeah. So I just can't break 700 on the CR. I hate CR. But that's only one weak point and doesn't really reflect my ability in English because I do better in the actual classes.
I think individual scores do matter, but they only look at the top scores) anddd you'll be fine. That one number is really really small. To apply to the top schools, you need other stuff and if that's good enough, they'll probably overlook at ten point difference.
Stupid CR.Gluck!

i think your fears are largely psychological - a 700 just sounds so much better than a 690, right?
admissions officers arent gonna fall for that mind trick -- theyve seen way too many apps to do so
