can anyone who got an 700-800 on those two tests share their study plan .. what you did to prepare for this test .. what books you used .. how long you studied

i would REALLY appreciate this .. i am going to retake my WH and also take math 2

for math2 i got a 780. basically, i had just taken my pre-cal final like 2 days before so i guess reviewing helped. i bought barron's but used it only for some weak areas of mine since they have so much extra stuff. good luck.

i haven't taken precalc yet .. im going to in sept., however i was planning on studying this summer for the sat ii's

thnx for the suggestions!!

anyone else?

^ I'd suggest taking precal before you even take the Math IIC.
Have fun self-studying for it. =P lol. Precal has A LOT you need to know.

i got 750 in Wh.. and think literally this is a disaster... i studied extremely hard for the Ap exam 2 weeks before.. but after that .. i was completely relazed didn't study at all and relied so heavily on my brain and got a BUMP>>>
But considerign the fact that i didn;t know a single thing about Wh or any history before taking the AP Wh class ,, go 1st rank due to being hardworking... , it would be okay...

i didnt study at all and got 700 on Math IIC. so everyone is fine on this test. im sure that if i studied i would have finished the test and got an 800

ah i wish i was just naturally good at math. i literally am a complete idiot when it comes to math...i will study for HOURS for a test and go in confident, leave confident and BAM i have a C

i hate it.

for mathiic, i found the test to be very similar to the practice ones in the PR and CB book. That really helped me because there were a few questions i knew i wouldve got wrong if i hadn't seen an almost identical one the day before.

do you think that by self studying for math .. i can pull of a good grade? w/o taking precalc??

have any of you done that??

I got an 800 in both math and world.
For math, I kind of freaked out. First, I bought Princeton Review. The practice tests in there are good, but the curves supplied for the mathIIC practice tests are unrealistic and (I presume) apply to the mathIC test. Because the curves are unrealistic (which I didn't know at the time), I freaked out and also bought Barron's. Barron's is ridiculously difficult in comparison to the actual thing. It doesn't give you a curve and says that about 42/50 is a good score. It's right. If you can get 42+ on Barron's, you'll be fine on the real thing. By the way, I took the test right after I took precalc, and I would recommend taking that class first. However, taking the test after just Algebra II is quite realistic.
As for World, I took the APWH exam about two weeks before, and I didn't review much. I just looked over the two "official" practice tests supplied by Collegeboard.

do you think it would be hard for me to self study for math iic w/o taken precalc? like will the concepts be hard to learn?
okay so for math based on your results i should get princeton and barrons?
i think i will use barrons first .... and then princeton to see whether barrons helped me or not

and for world history .. idk which book to use ... i didnt study at all for it - stupid stupid mistake

thanx alot for the suggestions!

"do you think it would be hard for me to self study for math iic w/o taken precalc?"

Yes. Why not just take the class first?

BARRONS. If you can get through that devil of a book, you will open a can of whoop*** on Math Level 2.

I didn't study at all and had precalc first semester (took Math IIC in June). I got an 800, so it can be done with no preparation (although i only missed half a question the entire 18 weeks of pre-calc, but I'm no good at AMC crazy math)

I got an 800 in the math IIC, and I used princeton review

A lot of people dislike it, but I felt it helped me

edit: and remi, please try and post helpful advice instead of just bragging. I'm sure we'd all appreciate it

I took the both in June, and I'm going to be retaking them in October.

Math, you really need to go through Precalc - a lot of the questions deal with the unit circle and Trig in general (not just Sin/Cos/Tan, specific rules as well like Sin^2(X) + Cos^2(X) = 1), a few conics, some logs, etc. If these concepts aren't easy for you right now, you'll need to go through Precalc.

World History is almost entirely fact regurgitation. If you had a good WH class that covered from pre-history to relatively recent events (there were a few questions about the 1980s and 1990s), then just study. If you haven't taken it or only covered modern world history (like me), then please share what you plan on studying!

for world history ... i took the AP exam so did no studying for the sat II thinking it would be a piece of cake =/ i found the sat II to be hard tho.

and for math ... i guess i should wait till i take precalc but i really wanted to get another SAT II in and math II has a good curve . but i am not that good in math so i guess I shouldnt self study for it.

I am going to retake the WH SAT II in october .. and I wanted to take another one along with it. And I am going to take the USH SAT II in may.

Any suggestions on what SAT II is not so difficult to self study??
My choices are:

Chemistry
Biology
Literature
