When did you guys take this test? After taking precalc in June?

For those who scored 750+, what prep books, if any, did you use?

Thanks!

When did you guys take this test? After taking precalc in June?

Thanks!

I took it during MVC :-D

ummm...what's MVC?

Multivariable Calc

Did you do well?

Used any prep books?

I took precalc over the summer and now I'm in AP Calc AB. I took it in December and will get my score in 4 hours.

I definitely got over 750, though.

All I did was read through PR and Barron's and take like five practice tests. Btw Barron's tests don't help at all. I recommend PR and Sparknotes.

Thank you so much theoneo.

That helped a lot.

I hope you did well. Tell me, or not, if you don't want to, when your scores get out!!!

...bump...

800 with princeton review

Use Sparknotes.

So I guess PR and Sparknotes?

No Barrons?

Btw I ended up with an 800.

I admit, I took a few Barron's practice tests. But I never bothered going over the questions i got wrong, since I knew their tests are crap anyway.

I'm buying the PR book online right now...is it the "Cracking the SAT Math 1 and 2"

or

"Math workout for the sat II"

???

For the first one, is there a book for only Math II?

Thanks!

Good job theoneo!!!

I got 800 with PR and SparkN.
Don't even touch Barrons.

I am taking College Calculus I.
I took these weird courses called "Interactive Math Program" till my junior year.
I didn't even take precalc.
All you need is your awesome TI 83 or 89.
Learn to program, too.
It's nice if you can program for quadratic formula ;P

I studied for three days.
I pulled an allnighty before the test to do like three practice tests.
PR has nice practice tests.

I got 800 in Physics, 800 in Math IIC, 800 in Chem...
with no preparation... just proves that India CBSE syllabus rules the world

I have got 800 in Math 2. I definetely recommend Barron if you've got enough time. Prepare with it and the 800 are guaranteed.

I'm getting pretty different responses.

1st: will someone (who dislikes barrons) tell me what's bad about the barron book?

and

2nd: which PR book? Look at my previous post.

Thanks!

I got 800 too with Barrons. The bad thing about it is that the problems are much more difficult than those on the actual test. I got about a 35 or 36 for each of the practice tests I took with Barrons and probably got 47-49 right on the actual test.

Yup. Most people complain about Barron because it is really hard. Well, they are true. It is very difficult, much more difficult than the actual test. However, if you've got time to study hard, you will be able to get 800 on the SAT Math2 easily.
It's all about your effort.
