700 + is not bad.

I'm really annoyed with all of the people who complain about getting a 760 or 770 on a test and then say how badly they've done.

Seriously.

In fact, 600 isn't even bad. People need to stop having such high expectations for yourselves because it's just setting up for disappointment.

Well... "bad" really depends on where are you aiming to go to school... if you are aiming at MIT or Harvard, etc., it`s not enough...

760 or 770 is not bad
600 is bad

Again it all depends on the college...

Of course, I was talking about the 600, not the 700+...

It's all relative. But I agree that 750+ is hardly bad by any standard.

MIT provides a range for the 50% SAT IIs. So do Princeton or Middlebury.

Crying about a 760 is foolish. It isn't your scores that will get you into a school that has such a small percentage admitted. You are well within range.

You've done well. You just may not get the nod. Have some safeties.

600 isn't even bad. It's pretty solid.

600 is pretty good, dependent on the college. Unless you're aiming for the most competitive ones, though many of us here are, it's not that good. But colleges group your scores. There's little difference between a 750 and 800, as there's a grouping of scores of 750-800 and so on when people actually submit applications.
