I applied early action to UCONN and got accepted towards the beginning of november. I also applied to the school's 8 year med program. Does anyone know when the decisions on your acceptance into the program come out??

I was wondering that too. Looks like there is a cut when uconn interviews about 40-50. Anyone know when we could hear about making the next cut?

Did anyone receive an email for the interview yet?

The interview requests went out last week. I had mine yesterday and they accept at least 10, from about 30-40 ish

@zambia How was the interview? I have mine next week; they say its a group interview, which sounds difficult. What were the questions like?

I liked the group interview so much better than an individual one and there are only four students interviewed at once. The questions aren’t too hard to answer on the spot. I didn’t have a hard time with any of them, just normal learn more about you questions and the doctors are really nice. Nothing to be nervous about :)

That sounds much better, thanks! I just have one more question about what to wear. I’m a guy, and for my other college interviews I just wore khakis and a polo, so would this interview be the same or should i wear something more formal like a shirt/tie?

The guy sitting by me at the interview wore khakis, a shirt and tie. And another guy wore basically the same thing…so I think the short and tie lol

Ok, thanks. Good luck by the way, I hope you get in!

I interviewed last week. the group interview was sorta strange at first but very relaxed and easy. also, one of the girls interviewing in my group was such a pro so I sorta learned from the way she answered questions and it helped me on another interview haha.

oh and judging from last years BS MD threads, uconn’s cpim is one of the earliest programs to send out acceptances (mid march).

@john
Thanks!! I hope you enjoyed your interview as well and I bet you did awesome! but good luck to you as well and i hope YOU get in too :)

how did uconn inform you about the med interview - email snail mail???

email. I think they are pretty much done with interviews though… I’d recommend calling them to check your status.

Anyone get 2012 CPiM decision yet? Called UConn, said will be released by March 31? Is that late?
Thanks

nope nothing yet, unfortunately. I don’t remember exactly where I saw it but last year uconn was one of the first med programs to release decisions in early march. it already seems pretty late in comparison.

Received letter from U-CONN, waiting list, bye bye U-CONN

better than a rejection but i got in…but since the fin aid is not really as good as I hoped and uconn is a bit too large for me, there may be an open spot…

Are you in state?

accepted today. I am out of state (NJ). it was in a small envelope so I didn’t have my hopes up haha but I am glad!
