9 hours of sleep

so, does anyone here get the suggested 9 hours of sleep for teens on weeknights?

About 7-8, sometimes 9-10. Bottom line before tests: 6 hours and I feel dizzy all day.

NOOOO 4-5 HOURS LMFAO!1!!111
(that's why I'm so psychotic... jk)
I function fine on 4-5. So far.

No, I am happy if I get 6-7 hours of sleep. :(

I consider myself lucky to get 7.

And then I wonder why at times like these I have a killer headache (sometimes the inability to swallow pills gets really painful).

I sleep from 10-6, 8 hours... fine for me

...I'm lucky to get 3.

But that would be because I'm a gamer girl who stays up 'till ungodly hours to play or discuss games. Currently playing Star Ocean 3, Bahamut Lagoon, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Terranigma and want to get Tales of the Abyss (or Symphonia), and thus am squandering around five hours a day.

LOL, how the heck did I get to be rank one of my grade? I doze off in most of my classes... :D

Worries me about my letters of rec' later on, though.

i usually cant fall asleep before 11...so about 6-7 hours for me. i consider that pretty normal for teenagers in high school

more about 6 right now

ugh I don't know anyone that gets 9+ hours of sleep!

I usually sleep from 1-6:30 .. not long enough for school + sports practice. I tend to crash on the weekend. this past sunday i slept twelve hours-- it was heavenly

weekend: 8-10 hrs
weeknights: 4-6 hrs

if i get more than 10, I cant function throughout the day.. i tend to get even more sleepy, groggy, tired, etc..

I do fine on 0-4. But weekends, like 10 hours...I had last friday off and I slept from midnight on thursday to 3PM....that was really nice.

I do. More, actually, and I really do need it.

If I can, i'll try to go to bed at 10, although that is usually impossible since my body doesn't want to sleep until 11:30 no matter how little sleep I got that day.

So at the maximum it's from 10-7, which is 9 hours.
At minimum it's 1-7, when it's just 6.

I should probably get up earlier, as I only have a half hour to get ready for school, then it's an hour on the train, but the system has worked so far.

And then on the weekends I go to bed after midnight and wake up whenever(usually around 10, but in summer around 2)

you must be taking extremely easy classes, or doing badly in AP or honors classes...

edit: I see you are only in middle school... Wait until you are in high school... you will be BEGGING to get 9 hours of sleep...

5 or less. Chemistry, AP US History, Precalculus, and Algebra 2 are killing me.

Actually, I am not in middle school, and do not know why you thought that - I am in high school.

I am just homeschooled, so I dont have busy work or wasted time and stuff.

Oh and I'm not taking easy classes or doing poorly.

I usually get 8-9 hrs of sleep on weekdays but thats because i'm only a freshman and I don't procrastinate...at all.

Oh homeschooled... So your mommy is your teacher? She'd probably give you As anyways because you're her child...

BWAHAHAHA! Yes, then feel the pain.
Like someone else said here, I also feel sluggish if I sleep more than 10 hours.
I'm quite alert and awake on 4-5.
