a c junior year

Im taking an AP stat class and I have to get a 90% on the final if I want to get a B- in the class but I really don't think I can do it. If I get the C and just get a 5 in the AP exam for the class do you think colleges like nyu, u mich, and usc will over look the grade.
Actually, my grade grades aren't very good but I'm trying to make up for it by doing well on the SAT I math and SAT IIC. Do you think its okay?
btw Im applying as an education major

Thank You :)

a C will really hurt you, unless your school has a reputation for being a really harsh grader. for selective schools, good standardized test scores will not make up for substandard grades, and if there’s a big difference between the expected gpa for your score and your actual gpa, it could give the impression of laziness, which will really hurt you. if you want to get into schools like nyu, try whatever you can to get your grade up.
