Ok I received a C for AP Statistics
Would it hurt my chances into colleges like Stanford, NYU, UC Berkeley, UCLA?

BTW My overall GPA from FRESHMAN-JUNIOR year is around 4.1-4.2

Of course it will hurt. How much it will hurt very much depends...

is it a C after u weight it

ok, well a C is bad, esp. if its from junior year, BUT, its just ONE C. so in the end i don't think its so terrible. colleges, even the top ones, realize that not everyone applying is an automoton getting straight As every year in every single class.
at least this is a legit question, there was another post about someone's first B

Once you get over the shock of it, it won't be that bad. I got my first and last "C" freshman year and I sypathize with you because I felt horrible. However, your overall GPA is great and it is only one "C". Maybe you could ask your counselor to explain the rigor of the class you took in your letter of rec or something. Good Luck with everything! :)

its okay i guess.

one 'C' won't kill you; especaily because its in an AP course

^ true that.
I don't think colleges are that grade orientated anymore.. although my assertion is very debatable, I just think that these days, unlike state colleges, private colleges wants students for the sake of learning, not for the sake of achieving A's
I mean C... is not THAT bad.

colleges also want to see that there is more to an applicant than just grades. They want to see that essentaily the person has "a life" and just doesn't study study study

^ def. agreed

I wish ... lol

It probably won't be that detrimental in terms of admissions.
