A couple admission questions from an average joe

Hey guys, so I applied to Harvard but had a couple questions.

First I never had an interview .... not sure why, all my friends said that they got calls on their home phones asking for interviews. I only live at my house half the time and have no answering machine ... so I may or may not have gotten one. But about 2 weeks ago I emailed the admission office and they said it wouldn't affect my application. Also I (very stupidly) checked that I didn't want to be emailed my admission decision and wanted snail mail.

So do you think the non-interview will hurt me? and is it true that people are already finding out from harvard via phone/mail?

thanks for your time.

by the way, here's my stats since you're curious

SAT: 2020
GPA: 3.81 unweighted (8 ap's/all honors)

and my 'x factor' is that I made $60,000 via trading stocks and through my financial newsletter last year, and will be opening my own hedge fund in 3 months....

The interview, or lack thereof, shouldn’t hurt you. As for people getting calls and letters, those are merely likelies for the brilliant individuals. Official admissions decisions will be released on the 30th at 5pm as always. On the Harvard portal, if you wish, you may change the option so that you get an email. Good luck!
