A few questions about Mary Markley?

Hey guys, I just got assigned my new contract for the year at Mary-Markley. I was looking around on CC and seems like im going to a more social/party based residence hall. My main focus is to keep my grades intact and i was wondering how bad is the study environment is over there? I'm hoping that i would not have to go to the library every time i needed to study or need some quiet time to concentrate.

The rooms from what i hear are pretty small and old compared to the other halls. I'll be entering as a freshman and going for pre-medicine. What other experiences do you have to share?

Markley is fine. Just be sure to keep up with the class work and you’ll be okay. There are plenty of libraries on campus if you really need to buckle down. Good luck and GO BLUE!

You’ll never get anything done in your dorm in Markely, I’d highly recommend making a habit out of going to libraries to get classwork done.

PM me if you have any other questions.

You can go to the Public Health or Taubman Library - both of which are extremely quiet, and get quality study time in. If you can’t manage the short walk, you better get used to it.

Your living experience is what you make of it. Markley is more conducive to being a social dorm because of the long hallways, but the learning environment is still a big part of it. Your experience is all about the people you meet and the way you spend your time, and Markley has resources for everyone (i.e. study rooms, computer labs, etc)
