hey!
took 2 sat iis last year…bio (600 ) and history (700)
i dont think my sat II scores are that great…should i send in my act score instead? 29, 12 on writing

didn’t take a science this year but im planning to be an economics/ education major…will that hurt me a lot?

how much do they look at senior grades? i got a c+ in ap micro because the teacher HATES me but everything else was okay. really trying to bring that grade up this quarter…might get a B…what do you think?

based on the stats below…how much money do you think i can get…money is an issue…

stats:
gpa: 4.3
sat: 1940 cr- 610 math-620 writing-710…took em again yesterday, think i did better
lots of ec- mostly oriented around the indian community/ volunteering/ cultural awareness/ then the nat’l french/latin/regular honor societies/ peer mediation/ music/ etc.
only taken 3 aps- 1 junior year (apush- 5) and 2 this year (micro and french)

Is your GPA on a 4.0 scale? If so, then you have a good shot of getting in. You can try to get money from a grant (the average BU grant last year was $22,256), But that’s only if you need financial aid.

If you have financial need they make cover your full financial need. They have offered me $55,000 this year in financial aid, which will cover my full cost of attendance. I got a 29 on my ACT(2060 SAT). 690 on SAT II Literature. As long as you fill out the CSS Profile and the FAFSA your needs should be covered.

I said “should be covered” not “definitely will be covered”

Even that is factually incorrect. The article clearly states that BU only covers need for 75% of its students. Thus, I guess it “should be covered” if you are in that 75%, but it clearly will not be covered if you are in the other 25%.

I still stand by what I said “it should be covered”

hahaha…oh the discussions on college confidential

Well thank you guys for answering! Do you think I should submit my 600 on the BIO sat…I’m going to be a economics/ education major if that makes a difference

How could your GPA possibly be 4.3 when you have taken 3 AP’s and got a C in one?

My GPA is a 4.3 weighted and around a 3.8ishh unweighted.

my unweighted is 4.3 because I’ve taken pretty much all honors classes and done REALLY well in them so getting an A in an honors classes is equivalent to getting like a B/B+ in an AP so I’d say that’s good enough for me and is whats kept my GPA there.

And as for the AP class, I’m taking it RIGHT NOW so I don’t know what my GPA is AT THIS MOMENT but what I gave you is what is being sent to college- everything at the end of my junior year.
