A freshman being placed in an apartment(Goldberg)

I was placed in an apartment even though I chose residential hall when filling out the housing application. I would like to switch to residential hall. Is there any sophomore willing to trade their residential hall dorm with me?

You can trade just like that?

ain’t nothing you can do about it, you’re stuck there.

hey S-Dub–go right away and insist on a meeting with a housing dean or whatever and tell them that you really want to be in residential hall–there will be students who move or don’t show and if you get someone to pay attention then you could get moved. AND what bad could happen? just that you stay put.

contact res life. there might be people that decided to live off campus or they wanted to switch to apartments. iono how it works.

but yes, contact warren res life and see if anything can be done. i’d do it as soon as possible if i were you though.

Agree with the above advice of contacting Warren Res Life.

Also, if things don’t work out and you’re in an apt - don’t be too upset because there are lots of benefits - more space, a kitchen, and you’ll be sharing a bathroom with less people. Just make sure to attend welcome week events and activities in your college to meet lots of freshmen (since you may be living with 2nd years).

yea, i just sent an email to the residential office today. Because I have seen some posts from sophomores complaining about living in residential hall with freshmen, I was wondering if it would be easier for me to go up to the office with a specific sophomore who wants to live in an apartment.

contact me if you are a sophomore who was placed in residential hall and wants to move to an apartment.
