Hi, so I'm a little confused on the Visual Arts credit. At my school, we only have a semester of art. So this year I'm taking Ceramics 1, but next year I want to take photography. Do I still meet the requirements, or do I have to take Ceramics 2 next year?

Usually this requirement is 1 year of visual or performing arts. That’s two semesters.

I haven’t heard of people using 1 semester of 1 type of art and then another semester of another type of art. Have you checked the UC website to further clarify?

Is your Ceramics 1 one semester? Or is it a full year? Same with photo - is it one semester, or one year?

Ceramics is one semester, and photography is one semester

From the UC a-g website:

Seattle, it sounds like you could take Ceramics 1 and then Ceramics 2 - even if in different years. They are looking for some mastery in one subject.

You could take Photo as an elective - but make sure you get a full year of one of the Visual or Performing Arts requirements on the list!
