I’m trying to get a lot of my clothing shopping done for this upcoming fall at Alabama (I’ll be a freshman) and some of the things I’ve been looking for are red sundresses to wear to the football games. The thing is, I literally can’t find a single one anywhere. Not in person or online. I live in the North-east and I’m spending the summer at my beach house in New Jersey and there are a lot of little boutiques here, but literally none of them have any sort of red dresses.

Does anyone know of any boutiques or stores that have a website up where I can look at/order any kind of dresses for game day? I won’t be back in Alabama to go to any boutiques down there until move in day on August 16, but if anyone knows any stores I could go in that would be so helpful!

I would’t worry too much about finding game day dresses just yet unless you’re rushing. You’ll find plenty of really cute and affordable dresses in some of the shops around town when you arrive in Tuscaloosa. Enjoy the beach!:)

We live just north of Atlanta and have had great luck with a small boutique called Lavender. I didn’t even know they had a website until you posted this, and I didn’t get to look at it too carefully to see if their web selection is like their store selection. I stink at attaching links here but usually when I mess it up some nice person fixes it for me:) So here is the website address: [Welcome to Lavender – Chic and Trendy Women’s Clothing, Denim, Accessories, and Jewelry](http://lavenderboutique.com/)

I would second the idea that a dress doesn’t have to be red (especially since my daughter didn’t want hers to look Georgia Bulldog red!). She steered toward black ones and wore them more than once by changing up her accessories (make sure you visit Charming Charlies when you get to Tuscaloosa). Because apparently she is working towards a triple major in Exercise Science, Spanish, and accessorizing.

I would echo that they don’t have to be red, black or even houndstooth. You will see girls in a variety of really cute, comfortable dresses and skirts. Usually one game during the season you will see girls in Alabama football jerseys, skinny jeans or leggings (think J Crew Minnie pants0 and cowboy boots. Once you get to campus you can shop on the Strip or downtown or even Belk and you will be able to find some cute things. If you google Judith March she designs game day dresses for a variety of schools. Her things are great!
Kinnucans at Mid Town Village carries her things. Ellie Crimson on the strip will have VERy reasonably priced dresses. The Shirt Shop carries Leona, Molly B and Brit Ryan…all have game day type dresses and skirts.
Whitlo is right in that you can find some amazing things a small boutiques…just get on and google Alabama game day dresses. My daughter ordered several from small boutiques in Nashville and in Alabama…I will ask her the names.

I had that same problem when I was in school. I couldn’t find many cute options when I looked for a game day outfit in my school colors. When I graduated I started an online game day boutique as a place to gather dresses and accessories that are sorted by school colors. We are actually just starting to add crimson to the colors we offer. Check out the site here [| She’s Got Spirit](http://www.shopshesgotspirit.com/)

Check out [Gorgeous Game Day|Game Day Dresses and Accessories](http://www.gorgeousgameday.com/) They have a wide selection of game day dresses, jewelry, and accessories from several websites. Click on “Alabama” on the right to see all the items available for your school. Enjoy!

If you are feeling crafty and have a sewing machine nearby, it isn’t hard to make a cute gameday dress from a tank top and a nice piece of fabric.

yes! a number of gameday dresses on Momreads’ link

I know that I’ve seen cute gameday dresses at Alumni Hall and Bama Fever at Midtown Village…but I don’t know what will be left once school starts.

Bumping this as I was working in downtown NOLA yesterday and saw a young lady in a very appropriate Bama dress. It was totally houndstooth! I did not know her from Adam, but in the elevator, I announced that I loved her dress and knew some ladies that would absolutely kill for it over at Bama, where my son goes to school. She replied, Oh, I went to Bama! I could not believe it. Just that morning, I had a long chat in a doctor’s waiting room with a gentleman in a Bama polo whose son and his Birmingham born wife lived in Hoover and how much they loved living in Alabama.

Tonight, there is an SEC kickoff fundraising event, and while there will be plenty of purple and gold, the weather girls are bringing their cowbells, and there will be plenty of Crimson Tide themed food as well, including some specially spiced jambalaya!
