Georgetown
Claremont McKenna
UC Berkeley
Colgate
Columbia
Stanford (legacy)

As you can see, I need more match/safeties. I'd be thrilled if anyone had ideas. I'd like a medium/small school (maybe 3,000-8,000ish), preferably on a coast.

THANK YOU! Let me know if you need any more information.

A Beatles club? I’m jealous…I think you should get into all those schools because of that lol…Yale, Stanford, and Columbia are no guarantee but you’re in everywhere else you listed.

Yale (probably SCEA) - Low chance
Brown - Semilow chance
Tufts - Semilow chance
Georgetown - Semilow chance
Claremont McKenna -Pretty good chance
UC Berkeley - Higher than semi-low probably
Colgate - Pretty good chance
Columbia - Semilow chance
Stanford (legacy) - Low chance (I think that’s the last thing they look at)

I’m harsh in this stuff so this is probably the minimum threshold, don’t worry. :)

DMOC does no know what he is talking about ( As we are sitting by each other in our school library laughing lol)

;)

Haha well thank you.
And yes, I quite like my Beatles Club.

Claremont McKenna -High chance
UC Berkeley - High chance

I just checked online, and it seems like legacies have no influence for Stanford.

"I just checked online, and it seems like legacies have no influence for Stanford. "
No official influence, but subtle especially if you are well qualified, related to a celeb, and/or wealthy.

^^^^To the above poster: Well, I think that it depends on the celeb.

I mean if Luke Walton is your uncle, they won’t care at all (no offense).
If Kobe Bryant is your uncle, you’re in at every school in the USA!!!

I hope that you realized that this was all in good fun! :)

To the OP:

You are definitely on the right track, as your GPA and SATs are great (Congrats)! Getting into Yale SCEA is a long shot for like everybody, but you seem more Humanities-oriented (please tell me if i’m wrong) and aren’t most Yale applicants the same way?

I read somewhere that it’s more beneficial to apply to Yale for engineering because they want top talent in that area. Sure, this only gives you like a 0.5% increase in possible admission, but take what you get! ;)

Yale and Stanford are reaches, and Brown & Columbia are mids reaches. You have a good shot at all of the schools on your list, and best wishes! :)

Thank you all so much!
And as for legacies, I think they carry a fair amount of weight, actually. Perhaps it’s coincidence, but the only four seniors from my school who got in were legacies.

Anyone else?

Any takers?
Sorry to bump this, but I don’t want to make another ever so I was hoping to get a few more opinions. Oh and today I won my school’s Harvard Book Award! I don’t really know what that means or if it’s prestigious, but I’m happy and thought I’d mention it.

If Luke Walton is your uncle, you’d have a great shot at UCLA…
