A popular girl I’ve rarely spoken to has asked me to go to prom with her. She has a boyfriend who already has graduated and the two of them are not in some kind of beef, they are happy as far as I know. I myself am a very “non-social” guy and not very popular. What should I do? Why did she ask me this? What are my chances?
She probably asked you because she wants to go to the prom and because she has a boyfriend elsewhere no one asked her. My guess is she thinks you’re a nice guy who would treat her well and not put pressure on her to give something in return for a fun night at the prom (nudge, nudge, wink, wink). Don’t get wrapped up in doubts as to why she asked you. Go. Enjoy yourself. Have fun. Dance. Treat her well. Bask in the glow of having been asked by a popular girl. Realize that sometimes the popular girls do enjoy being with nice but shy guys!
As long as it’s okay with her boyfriend, it is entirely appropriate to go and have fun with her. Your chances are excellent, but remember to be appropriate to avoid any future misunderstandings.

I think with your stats it is kind of a reach, but you can improve your app by doing some more extracurricular activities but IMHO it is still a reach, lol. The admission process (her boyfriend) may be a little lenient with you but it really depends…
