I believe Pell Grants are Pell Grants regardless of the type of college you attend.

i should have also added “for the purpose of calculating the pell grant LEU’s”.

i assumed that they calculate them according to whether or not it is a 2-year or 4-year school and have separate percentages for each level… i know someone who is getting pell even though his percentage is over 600%. he had gone to a 4-year school but ended up at a community college because he lost interest in getting a bachelor’s degree.

and in my case (i am over 600%) a community college offered me aid. (i decided to get a second associate’s degree.)

can anybody figure this out? i am confused!!

There is no separate calculation. The 600% lifetime eligibility includes all Pell received in your lifetime from whatever type of institution you receive it from.

thanks swimcatsmom!!
