A Question of Strengths....

IN REGARDS TO HYPS.....

As far as SAT II scores are concerned, let's say I have an 800, a 780-800, and a 700-720.

Am I still a competitive applicant at all? The first number (Lit) is factual, but the last two are speculative based on my performance today (I think I aced Math II; World History raped me).

Anyway, are those scores good enough when seen as a group, especially since Lit is typically regarded as one of the tougher 800s?

Thanks for your [brutally honest] opinions!

fo sho .

lol, bump.

As far as Harvard is concerned, SAT IIs are meant to demonstrate the student's ability to apply himself to learning knowledge and techniques. It's not about aptitude, like SAT I is.

If your SAT IIs are low, the adcoms will think that you're not good at taking in information.

You're probably fine... I don't think those would hurt you. The rest of your app would be more important.
