Should I??! I think I have a C, and I don't want it to drop...nor my gpa. Please help!! Would taking reg alg 2 be a setback?! Would it be more difficult to catch up if I were to take hon precalc next year??! I have no idea what to do!

I'd recommend switching over to regular algebra 2, yeah. As long as you can still take Math Analysis the next year (or whatever gets you to BC Calculus senior year). That is, unless your school only offers up to AB Calculus...?

In my opinion:
Honors Alg. 2: Aim for A, but B is okay
Reg. Alg. 2: Aim for A - anything less is iffy

EDIT: Agree with I495.

Do you honestly feel like you can't do any better in the class? With a little study, an otherwise hard math class can be made a lot easier. Try increasing your effort (if you haven't already) before you outright drop a course.

I guess you're right 1495. Maybe I should! I already have and my test scores have been going up!
