In reaction to the disheartening news of the University of Chicago's delaying the notification date for Early Action results, I have a suggestion for the admissions reps:

Notify the first 100 responders to an admissions e-mail of the admissions committee's decision before next week.

I'll even write the email for you:

"Act fast - the first one thousand applicants who respond to this e-mail will be sent an early notification of their application results!!!"

See, Libby and/or Ted, the work is already done for you and such an act would serve to enhance the university's reputation for creativity. I promise you'd regret not doing this.

I have probably just sentenced thousands of my peers to hours of refreshing their e-mail accounts, but I'm sure you all agree this is the right thing to do.

*One stipulation: I get dibs on the first response, since it was my idea.
