a summer fling's questions

I hear there may be an apartment about 30 yards outside Gate 1 for rent....

[/quote]

there might be one available come August....although make it 100 yards....

Woops. Had the wrong scale set on the radar. :o

I can't get past "him and I discussed" from a supposedly serious USNA candidate.....

^^^^^
FYI, bethyy has already stated that she is not a candidate for USNA. She's working on an MRS degree. :D

Hey guys, the Johnnies have all the apartments outside gate 1... If you want something close you need to check out the aparmtent building outside gate 3 (not the one thats been burned out for the past four years, the other one)

thank you for your correction zespri.. i know my grammar has always been terrible!
but yes as GreatAmerican stated, I am not going to apply to USNA due to medical circumstances and because USNA does not have a girls' tennis team unfortunately

I'm hoping that great american, the former officer, gentleman and father of a daughter, apologizes to bethyy for the MRS degree remark.

bethyy, you're right about USNA not having a varsity woman's tennis team because my daughter was the captain of her varsity tennis team in hs and though she still plays informally at USNA, she chose another sport.

FYI, bethyy has already stated that she is not a candidate for USNA. She's working on an MRS degree.

It was just a joke. Plus, women don't do that anymore (thank God!!).

bethyy- I think it's cool you play tennis. I was never great at sports (althought my husband wants to teach me to snowboard :D), so I admire those who are.

bethyy, please tell me his name isn't steve...

I confess, GA. I smiled. :)

Now shame on you! And me. To the stockade we must go. A Great American and a Whistle Pig, "... branded, marked with a coward's sword. What can you do when you're branded ... to prove you're a man?!" Found out. :(

I guess that's chauvinist whistle pig.

"It was just a joke. Plus, women don't do that anymore (thank God!!)"

I heard a male mid from the great class of 2010 say that college is wasted on women; he wasn't joking.

His mother dropped him on his head, obviously. Chauvenist oink. Can't wait till he has a female commanding officer. :D

My son, on the other hand, has tremendous respect for educated women, as MY education put him through parochial school. Plus, he appreciates my profession. He thinks his dad's is/was cool, but mine saves lives (his words, not mine). His favorite math teacher this past year is a woman. He'd bend himself into a pretzel for her, if she asked.

I hope my daughter is his commanding officer some day. She will make that IDIOT think twice about that statement.

^^^^Right On!

Hey, don't be too hard on the guy. The purpose of the Academy is to train him. Had he shown up perfect, there would be nothing for them to do. He will see the light, hopefully soon.

Not to worry, he'll get hitched, and his course will be corrected in short order by an MRS Master Chef, make that Chief.

Have no doubt that if the USNA doesn't straighten him out, there will be someone with a MRS degree that-someday- will!!! ;)

ok. we're cool then :P

All of the females I went to college with were serious about their degrees. You work so hard (at least I did), since our college only accepted 45 nursing students per year. The average that applied was @ 500. Their selections were based on gpa and we didn't take wimp classes, either.

I guess I was just raised differently by my parents (who did college in the 50's). I'm glad daughters here "don't go there."
