For most of us, it would be a last effort at raising the score, no?

It'll be my third try. The two times I have given it I have come away feeling happy but the scores have been disappointing, so I'm a little scared this time. (highest composite - 700M 720V)

What are you focussing on? I just want to get that 800 math so I can have a nice 1520 :p

errr...i'm taking one SATII in november, my sat I in december (for the first time), and the other 2 SATII in january...is this going to be bad???

Yes, Astrix, Jan 22 is my first and last effoet in applying fall 2005.
Hash, there is nothing bad to take SATs in this way. I am going to take them almost as you are.

Hey guys, I am kinda new here. I took my SAT I on Oct. 9 and it went pretty well (I think). Expecting something like 770M and 730V. Going to retake it again in Novenber though (didn't think I was going to do so well). Any of u guys take it in Oct? if so how did it go?

Yup... took mine on Oct. 9 too. The math section was a joke, but I'm not too sure about the verbal part. Hope I get a 1550+ this time, cuz' this is my last try. I'd given the SAT I in January this year too. Got a 1420 on that. :( sweetbee03 - what subjects are you taking for your Nov. SAT IIs apart from writing? Does anyone have any clue how hard Physics is going to be or is usually. I just registered for it without asking anyone about it. Figured since I rock at Physics and suck at Chemistry, it was the only way to go.

Downtheway I'd recommend you get Princeton Review for the physics. I didn't encounter anything I didn't know about from PR / school

Though it's quite another matter I couldn't finish the test and missed like 15 questions :p The curve is pretty generous tho, at least that's what PR would have me believe.

The physics curve is indeed generous (at least when I took it). I didn't get to the last 5 questions (spent too much time rechecking easy answers... I have a phobia for careless mistakes). I figured I got 2 wrongs max. It came out a clean 800.

Hey, Downtheway! I got 1420 on the SAT the first time, too! Well, I'm taking Math IIC and Chemistry SATII's. I've bought Barron's prep books and have just started to study the material.

Princeton Review has a Physics book? I thought it didn't cuz' I ran a search online and it didn't give me any results. So I got Kaplan's. Will that do? Or should I look around for a PR? Are you sure it exists, astrix? And won't just doing 10 Real SAT IIs do for the writing thing? I'm really glad that we're having hols now, cuz' I'd be screwed otherwise.

Havent read Kaplan but Princetion review has a nice, comprehensive book, sure it is available, and much much asier to understand than barrons, and the tests were more similar to the real ones...

Okay, PR it is then. Although, you don't get anything in the town I live in, so I'll have to send out to my mom. Shoot! And here I was thinking I'd be taking it easy these hols. Now I have to do two books. sighs
